The Total Fund Management ("TFMaEUR) department is responsible for the successful implementation of the FundaEUR(TM)s investment framework. TFM focuses on the management of total fund across all investment horizons that will have a dynamic and direct impact on the FundaEUR(TM)s overall performance. This includes long-term portfolio design, capital allocation between investments programs, medium and near-term portfolio guidance, balance sheet management, and the management and execution of the Total FundaEUR(TM)s financing, collateral, and trading needs (excluding credit).

Within TFM, the Applied Research and Models ("ARMaEUR) group is a aEUR~centre of excellenceaEUR(TM) in research with a centralized team to ensure we deliver focused and impactful research, develop robust and consistent tools, and operate as efficiently as possible. We design, maintain and enhance quantitative models, machines, dashboards and analytical tools that support TFM investment decisions and management of the Fund.

Position Description

We are presently recruiting for an Analyst to join the Quantitative Models team within the Applied Research and Models Group in TFM. The successful candidate will support research and implementation of leading-edge investment strategies by delivering robust portfolio research and portfolio management solutions in a timely manner. She/he will work closely with other groups in TFM to ensure effective implementation of new models and approaches to support TFMaEUR(TM)s investment decisions and portfolio management in projects spanning all areas of TFM, including Portfolio Design & Construction, Exposure, Leverage, and Liquidity Management, and Active Investment Management.

Role-Specific Accountabilities:
  • Contribute to the design of research and production systems with an emphasis on ensuring flexibility and maintainability
  • Engage with quant researchers and portfolio managers to clarify specifications written in their respective business languages ensuring completeness and correct interpretation
  • Assess and communicate the impact of impending model changes on portfolio metrics that drive trades
  • Apply programming expertise, optimization, linear algebra, statistics, and numerical analysis techniques during the implementation to ensure robustness of algorithms and code
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and quant researchers to prototype and develop portfolio analytics, quantitative models, and simulation tools used in top-down portfolio management
  • Be mentored by experienced team members who will aid you to tap into your expertise and blend it with new skills learned on job
Qualifications
  • You have a degree in engineering, mathematics, or another quantitative field
  • You have programming experience in large-scale projects. Experience in software design and Python are considered assets.
  • You have an interest in modern portfolio theory, economics, or quantitative portfolio techniques
  • You excel at problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to think critically and creatively
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with solid verbal and written communication skills
