  • Apply information technology expertise, analysis, and design techniques to solve business problems.
  • Support warehouse management & transportation planning systems, inventory and supply network planning systems, Sales-Ordering systems, billing & finance systems, and communication & payroll systems.
  • Provide support for complex technical issues and initiatives/implementation, or upgrade projects related to large-scale enterprise systems & applications, and/or other technical products and services primarily used by the supply chain business domain.
  • Ensure systems (infrastructure & application) are functioning appropriately. When there are challenges, they use diagnostic, simulation, or other problems solving skills & tools to maintain, troubleshoot, and restore service or data to systems.
  • Serve as an internal expert regarding use of systems and processes; conduct assessment on the service level agreement criteria and identify gaps in current technology processes, as well as recommend changes to optimize operations and improve efficiency.
  • Carry out complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, and installations or configurations.
  • Perform database management functions, including appraising, or reviewing queries to extract data, creating standard databases, or performing limited programming to fine tune systems supported.
  • Create and manage documentation and procedures, knowledge articles, and providing training related to the use or application of the procedures.
  • Troubleshoot network, infrastructure/hardware, and software issues, as well as coordinating resolution with users, vendors, and internal IT service groups.
Analyst, Supply Chain IT Support \xe2\x80\x93 Responsibilities
  • Responsible for technical systems support to users for all Supply Chain and Manufacturing business users on daily basis or as needed.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of ongoing documentation, including test cases, job aids, knowledge articles, system manuals, checklists, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders/business users to standardize, streamline, and coordinate business and system processes. Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
  • Carry out acceptance testing of new or updated software applications by developing test data and validating expected results
  • Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow
  • Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed
  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions, remediating issues
  • Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures
  • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
What We Are Looking For
  • University degree, preferably in Computer Science
  • 1-2 years of related experience as a Systems Analyst
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Experience with functional design, configuration, deployment, and testing of enterprise software applications
  • Working knowledge in application servers, web servers, operating systems, web services, network, and web application architectural concepts
  • Experience with Java, VB.net, creation of web applications, web services, Cloud architecture
  • Knowledge: It is vital that they have an understanding of SQL and databases, and scripting experience with Shell, Bash, Python, or Perl to carry out database management functions
  • They may also be required to possess practical experience in : Ability to work with all aspects of PC and laptop hardware setup/maintenance, including installation and configuration of hard drives, NIC protocols, printers, and other PC accessories; working knowledge of workstation software installation, including experience with PC imaging software programs; troubleshooting experience with Microsoft OS platforms; and practical experience with maintaining technical documentation or note taking
  • Collaborative skills: Systems support analysts may be required to work with people from various departments, so it is vital that applicants for the position can function in a project-oriented environment with people of different backgrounds
  • It is essential that applicants are conversant with Microsoft Office 365, and 2010 and applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint and Access), and also have advanced level Microsoft Excel skills. It is also important to note that applicants who have Microsoft certification have an advantage
  • Communication skills: Applicants for the systems support analyst job also need exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information, as well as to document processes and procedures and provide training to personnel in the use of new or revised systems
  • Strong background in end user support and familiarity with Microsoft suite of products including Operating Systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in solving complex problems, critical thinking, data analytics
  • Experience with web services, warehouse automation including PLC\xe2\x80\x99s,
  • Experience in supporting distribution centers and understanding inventory process flows
  • Experienced in managing small to medium projects
  • Familiarity with software delivery methodologies such as agile/scrum
  • Strong knowledge in ERP, WMS, Middleware,
Education
  • A minimum of bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent diploma/certification is required, (preferably in Computer Science/ information technology/ Engineering)
  • The following are considered an asset
  • Experience with .Net applications, AWS, Networking, Python/Powershell scripting, IT hardware and SQL database programming
  • WMS implementation (preferably using Manhattan WMS)
  • knowledge of QSR or Franchising industry processes
