is responsible for collecting and analyzing data to support the development of Unity Health Toronto's next strategic plan. The Strategy Team is supporting the CEO's commitment to the Board to complete the new strategy by June 2026.
The successful applicant is a highly motivated, detail oriented, and skilled with analyzing large quantities of qualitative data points and presenting this analysis in multiple formats for various audiences. The successful applicant is a strategic thinker with an interest in working at a system level and can tactfully manage stakeholder expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support collection of data including advising and helping design the best collection tools from key stakeholders.
Analyze data responses gathered through stakeholder engagements, SWOT analysis, and other methods.
o Analysis will include identifying common themes as well as assessing variations in responses between respondent groups.
o Using AI tools to assist with analysis, including identifying themes in the data, strategic priorities and summarizing key findings.
+ Prepare presentations, reports, and materials to share analysis in consumable formats aligned to the needs of multiple stakeholder audiences, including executive team and Board members.
+ Provide project management support for strategy development.
+ Liaise with senior team members to support development of new strategic plan for Unity Health, including:
o Conducting environmental scans through researching the external environment;
o Supporting stakeholder engagement;
o Conduct SWOT analyses with stakeholders;
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Graduate Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or equivalent education program, preferred.
+ Minimum three years of work experience in a healthcare environment.
+ Strong expertise in data analysis, especially with qualitative data.
+ Experience working with AI tools to support analysis.
+ Strong skills in varying mechanisms to present data (e.g. Canva).
+ Knowledge of strategic planning, project management, corporate communications, change management and stakeholder management.
+ Experience supporting projects in a hospital/healthcare environment, preferred.
+ Experience writing proposals and briefing notes.
+ Well-developed ability to evaluate situations and make judgment calls on situations, such as timeliness of escalating issues.
+ Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to changing priorities and expectations.
+ Ability to create clarity out of ambiguous situations and requirements independently and through consultation with knowledge experts.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
