Job Summary

This position is responsible for optimizing O&D seat inventory for the major revenue generating O&Ds across the network using O&D Revenue management principles and tools in order to maximize network revenue. This position reports to Senior Manager Inventory optimization, Revenue Management
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze and identify top O&D opportunities in the network flowing over Porter\xe2\x80\x99s network hubs.
  • Maximize Network Revenue by recommending O&D availability strategy for top 80% revenue contributing O&Ds using O&D revenue management strategies.
  • Analyze and monitor demand trends, capacity and schedule changes, changes in competitive environment and consumer purchase behavior for major O&Ds.
  • Work with flight inventory analysts to align day to day flight management actions with the agreed O&D revenue management strategy.
  • Liaison between Inventory and Pricing teams to implement regional strategy and ensure network strategy alignment.
  • Analyze and recommend schedule changes and market connection options that can lead to an increase in network revenues.
  • Contribute to the development of analytical tools that measure the success of the O&D inventory strategy with focus on incremental revenue gains over the leg-based approach.
  • Develop and monitor optimization alerts on all major revenue contributing O&Ds to ensure revenue opportunities are captured in a timely manner.
  • Develop reports on O&D level KPIs, track performance versus set goals, find revenue opportunities and close any gaps in performance.
  • Develop expert level knowledge on booking patterns, travel patterns, special events and holidays, competitors and other variables on the assigned markets which may affect O&D traffic.
  • Suggest O&D pricing and Revenue Management System parameters to deliver on the chosen course of action.
  • Ensure data and revenue integrity are paramount in all day-to-day processes, databases and dashboards.
  • Maintain high level of familiarity with O&D Revenue Management techniques and systems to ensure alignment with organizational revenue goals.
  • Active participation in Porter\xe2\x80\x99s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operation; understand comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
  • Ensure Company Values are engrained in day-to-day operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 24 months of previous Airline Revenue management experience focused on O&D demand management is required.
  • Good knowledge of Airline pricing, Network Planning, Distribution and Interline Partnerships
  • University degree with a focus in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Network Planning, Strategic Planning, Operational Research, Mathematics or Engineering is required. MBA or M.Sc in the above fields is a plus
  • Proficiency with database management tools and analytic tools is required.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools is required.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (focus on Excel)
