Roll up your sleeves and get to work \xe2\x80\x93 on-site, off-site, over the phone \xe2\x80\x93 help business owners build in our communities.The opportunityThe primary focus of the Analyst, Real Estate is to assist the Real Estate Lending team by preparing credit applications, actively participate in credit structuring, risk management and client facing support, assist with branch reporting and provide general assistance in the management of the existing corporate real estate portfolios. This individual contributor role will partner with relationship managers (inclusive of Manager, Senior Manager or AVP, Real Estate Lending), supporting them with the analysis and development of general economic overviews, industry profiles and the evaluation of past and present fiscal viability of loan prospects.Areas of focusSupport branch financial objectives through effective credit underwriting while managing risk in alignment with CWB\xe2\x80\x99s strategy.Collaborate with relationship managers to offer comprehensive financial solutions, aiming to become clients\xe2\x80\x99 primary financial partner.Foster internal referrals and partnerships to enhance client service and maximize business opportunities.Deliver exceptional client experiences and uphold CWB\xe2\x80\x99s brand promise through continuous improvement initiatives.Aid relationship managers in devising innovative client solutions, leveraging internal expertise and partnerships.Assist in managing real estate loan portfolios, including underwriting, analysis, and loan management.Ensure operational efficiency, data integrity, and compliance adherence while fostering a positive work environment aligned with CWB\xe2\x80\x99s cultural values.Successful incumbentResponsible for managing credit risk on a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, which includes writing annual reviews, regular risk monitoring (often monthly and/or quarterly), obtaining reporting from customers as needed, and making recommendations to ensure the loan portfolio stays within CWB\xe2\x80\x99s risk appetite.Day to day first point of contact for client service.This is an individual contributor role that works with supervision close by and within well established procedures and/or practices; however some judgement is required to achieve the end result.Requirement to maintain an appropriate level of independence from sales functions, with need for facilitation and conflict management skills.Workload can be subject to seasonal peaks and must be proactively managed to meet targets/deadlines.Minimize operational losses and report all potential losses
