The Biologics Manufacturing Center (BMC) Inc. is a new biomanufacturing facility created in response to the pandemic. We are looking for an

Analyst, Quality Control - Microbiology

to support the activities of the Quality Control and Microbiology department.





The

Analyst

will have the following responsibilities:



Perform environmental monitoring (viable/non-viable air and water sampling) Execute in-process and finished product testing (bacterial endotoxin, bioburden, microbial identification) Support in the management of inventory of quality control consumables Support in investigations of out of specification (OOS)/ out of tendance (OOT) results Support to production team Improve QC activities Contribute to the maintenance and calibration of quality control equipment Contribute to writing SOPs for microbiological testing based on compendial tests Contribute to method validation protocol writing and execution

You hold at least an AEC in a discipline relevant to microbiology. You have at least three (3) years of work experience in analytical microbiology or environment monitoring. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. You are fluent in French. Flexible schedule and overtime may be occasionally required including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The BMC is a new facility in the heart of Montreal, completed in June 2021. It supports the growth of the country's biologics production capacity, ensuring that vaccines and other related products can be manufactured safely, right here at home. Thanks to its state-of-the-art facilities and the knowledge of its team, the BMC can produce biopharmaceutical products such as viral vector, protein subunit and virus-like particle vaccines, as well as other biological products. It is a key player in Canada's ability to respond rapidly to future national and global health emergencies.
