Portfolio and Risk Engineering (PRE) is a team within Investment Engineering & Analytics that builds and operates the data, production models and engineering systems that support portfolio construction and risk across Capital Markets and Factor Investing. We deliver consolidated portfolio views, canonical data feeds, risk attributions and production risk tooling to enable portfolio-level decision making, hedging and risk operations, and we lead the engineering and process work to integrate and productionize those capabilities.
The Analyst, Portfolio and Risk Engineering will Design and develop production-grade systems for risk monitoring, portfolio construction, portfolio monitoring and hedging; build tooling and automation that turns quantitative models and signals into resilient production services. You will work with both structured and unstructured data to surface portfolio insights, explain exposures and support hedging decisions; implement, test and productionize model changes and build monitoring, alerting and explainability around model and data health; and partner with portfolio managers, trading and Risk to translate business requirements into engineering solutions. The role will also develop and integrate GenAI-based tools and workflows to extract information from text and reports, automate monitoring and improve portfolio understanding and explainability.

Accountabilities
Contribute to the research and development of investment strategies
Support development of proprietary research methodologies through application of advanced analytical techniques
Design and develop portfolio analytics and visualizations
Assist Investment and internal partners in the preparation of ongoing and ad-hoc investment performance reporting
Partner with colleagues to design and implement new tools and analytics modules
Develop and maintain a robust portfolio construction and risk analytics platform used to monitor and manage a complex investment portfolio.
Model investment programs using a variety of portfolio construction and risk models, including RiskMetrics and Barra.
Maintain and update position and exposure information, market data, and P&L results.
Improve the existing data platform and assist in the build out of new infrastructure, with the aim of enabling users to easily access and use our data.
Special projects and other duties as assigned - must be comfortable pivoting as priorities shift in a complex and dynamic environment.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline
An advanced degree is an asset
Experience in solving problems through the combination of quantitative, analytical and/or programming skills
Passion for Investment Management and Financial Markets in general
Strong quantitative, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Programming/scripting experience using Python (and associated stats libraries), R, Matlab or Java
Good programming skills, and knowledge of development processes and tools for Cloud-based applications.
Experience with Codex CLI and Claude Code is an asset.
