The opportunity:

Reporting to the Associate Manager of Operations, the Analyst is accountable for providing day to day operational support including transfer fee reimbursements. The incumbent of the position will be accountable for daily data reporting and reviews which will assist with the completion of our Monthly Reconciliation. The Analyst will work closely with their direct reports and other team members to help build out best practices.

The Analyst will have the ability to keep up with and organize the correspondence in the inbox and processing of requests within our systems and understanding implications of missed SLA\'s
Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting Internal Reconciliation & Reporting, including investigating and reaching out the appropriate sources to gather back-up data for reconciliation.
  • Review Daily Transfer fee reimbursements summaries, Book Value updates and management.
  • Monitoring of the Transfer Fee inbox and processing IA requests and providing recommendations for improved procedures.
  • Reviewing daily reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicating and reporting on outstanding activities & action items
  • Assisting in putting together our process and procedure guides.
  • Monthly reporting to finance and IA\'s.
  • Working closely with the Lab Data Team ensuring data is accurate and complete.
  • Completing validations checks for our internal account reconciliation, monthly, for internal error accounts.
  • Monitoring the email inbox and processing IA requests as needed.
  • Building out monthly procedure guides.
  • Reconciliating monthly interest charges to client accounts and processing reimbursements where necessary.
  • Analyzing & reviewing data from various reporting tools and understanding the difference between the reports.
  • Working with teams to help understand the data provided.
  • Testing of our new environment, Envestnet.
  • Working closely with the fee team for review of reimbursement/reversal requests and other validations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • An undergraduate degree in organizational leadership, business, learning and development or analysis.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in Operations role is preferred.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, analysis, and problem solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of skills development and capacity building strategies.
  • An advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook etc.) and business administration software.
  • Excellent organization skills with an ability to organize complex information in a comprehensive and clear manner.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to work proactively and collaboratively.
  • An ability to adapt and change.
  • An ability to maintain composure and communicate effectively in high stress situations.
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their business and operations requirements.
  • An understanding of the investment management industry, business practices and operations with in-depth knowledge of middle office activities; such as investment data management, reconciliation, compliance and risk.
  • Problem-diagnosis skills with the ability to create and present solutions.
  • A high level of business acumen, with the ability to communicate effectively up and down the management chain in the appropriate language and provide the appropriate level of detail and focus on the right information.
  • A proven ability to navigate rapid changes in priorities and timelines with the ability to re-strategize.
  • An ability to multitask with strict time constraints with the ability to deal with numerous activities with varying degrees of priority.
  • A reliable, consistent work ethic.
  • A demonstrated ability to independently prioritize and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
  • An adequate level of empathy (ability to put yourself in your stakeholders\' "shoes").
