Our expectations

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure Rona\'s IT has plans to respond to any unforeseen outage with little to no impact to our customer base.

This includes verifying an application is architected to support the RTO and RPO of its designated tier, ensuring applications have documented recovery procedures and executing tests that range from tabletops to full exercises.

The individual in this role uses a strong understanding of designated process to drive both tactical and strategic initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring that Disaster Recovery processes are implemented effectively at Rona, while continuing to build upon process and tool improvements.

Your role

Maintains and coordinates the updates to all Disaster Recovery program documentation.
Participates in change control meetings and identifies those changes which impact recoverability.
Performs technical impact assessments with SMEs to provide alternative/intermediary technical DR solutions.
Establishes testing methodologies by planning and coordinating the testing of recovery support and business resumption procedures.
Ensures that recovery procedures are effective for the restoration of key corporate resources and for the resumption of critical business processes.
Develops and maintains response and recovery standards for business continuity documentation using planning tools. In our case, BCM (Business Continuity Management from ServiceNow)
Performs all planning activities for Disaster Recovery exercises including developing appropriate objectives, overseeing configuration reconciliation and all testing logistics.

The qualifications we are looking for

5 years in IT professional experience
3 years of experience in information technology project coordination
Strong organization and analysis skills
Have knowledge of SAN systems
Have knowledge of NAS systems
Have knowledge of Backup engines (TSM, SPP)
Have knowledge of Virtualization engines
Have knowledge of AIX, iSeries, Linux, Windows
Have knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
Have knowledge of network components (cabling, router and others, "firewall", TCP / IP)
Have rigor in respecting deadlines and quality.
Be resourceful, have good interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude.
