The mission of our sector is to ensure the integrity of the financial information disclosed in the financial statements of RONA Inc.

Your role

Type of contribution

You will have to provide accounting support at the chart of account level, to the various sectors in order to promote their growth according to business objectives, while ensuring the maintenance and improvement of systems, tools and processes. You will analyse financial data in order to provide useful information for decision-making. In addition, you will participate in problem solving as well as the realization of important projects.

Specific responsibilities:

As an analyst - system administrator, you are responsible for the integrity of the financial information presented to senior management. You will analyze requests for changes in the accounting structure (closing, new account, etc.), identify the impacts and apply corrective measures, and will have to communicate them to the end users affected by the change. You will act as an administrator for IBM -TM1 and Hyperion systems. You will also maintain partnerships with multiples departments for common projects. You will be responsible for directly coordinating head office changes and improvements. You will also be responsible for training users in the financial systems under your responsibility.

In addition, through your responsibilities, you will act as guardian of the chart of account and ensure the security access to systems. You will also be responsible for loading monthly financial data from RONA and Lowe\'s Canada (trial balance) and ensuring the integrity. Coordinate the forecast and budget process at the system level by supporting finance analysts in their business needs.

The qualifications we are looking for
  • Professional accounting designation desirable or in the process of being obtained (CPA) or similar experience.
  • Very great interest in accounting systems;
  • Excellent Excel knowledge;
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, Financial Data Quality Management (FDM);
  • Knowledge of IBM TM1, Planning Analytic for Excel (PAX);
  • Knowledge of ReportWorQ software;
  • Knowledge of the language of calculation rules;
  • Experience in financial analyzes and Financial Statements;
  • Communication skills;
  • Likes changing environments.
