This role sits within Laurentian Bank Securities, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank.



The role of the Analyst Economy is to use research abilities, analytical thinking, and data management expertise in support to the Chief Economist and to engage at a wide range of activities to promote and facilitate the achievement of objectives of the Laurentian Bank.



Responsibilities



Participate in close monitoring of economic and financial conditions for LBC activities



Take part in in-depth research and develop topics relevant to the fixed income market



Participate to the development of fixed income oriented reports



Contribute to the building of economic scenarios and forecasts tied to strategic, regulatory and operational activities of LBC



Actively engage in the building of presentation layouts and economic data management



Qualifications



Graduate studies in economics and/or finance



3 years of relevant experience in economics and capital markets



Good knowledge of macroeconomics



Good knowledge of fixed income markets



CFA designation, an asset



Intellectual curiosity



Strong skills relative to analytics and research



Proficiency in office tools and statistical programs



Proficiency in written and spoken English and French



Very good interpersonal skills



Capacity to fast-track projects with effective oriented results



Ability to work in a small team

Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
