The Transition Management Team oversees the onboarding of institutional clients and restructure of client accounts for eleven institutional investment managers. The team is responsible for creating and executing transition plans using a structured and tailored approach by understanding needs of clients, investment strategies and operational requirements. The team manages over 400 transitions annually.
What You Will Do
Manage the onboarding of Institutional Canadian, US and global clients
Be the key contact in the onboarding process with external stakeholders including clients, custodians and consultants
Analyze and identify operational and portfolio management requirements, potential risks and client needs, and work with internal teams to set up new clients
Work diligently with investment managers, sales, compliance and operations teams
Build trust with external and internal stakeholders, and apply a disciplined, proactive and flexible approach to manage the onboarding
Coordinate client restructures including changes to mandates, benchmarks and account transfers
Manage client KYC requirements and applications
Maintenance of onboarding tools, project plans and documentation
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in an investment operations or client-facing role. Background and knowledge in financial markets and investment processes preferred
Analytical, creative and growth mindset with the ability to problem solve and create thoughtful solutions
Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders on understanding client and project requirements and executing plans
Great communicator
Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and a high level of integrity
Detailed-focus and the willingness to dive deep into processes and operational requirements
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process
