THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Director of Asset Management, the Analyst, Asset Management position plays a multi-faceted role in managing and optimizing the performance of InnVest's portfolio of hotel assets. Responsibilities include a blend of financial analysis, strategic planning, asset valuation, operations oversight, and cross-functional collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Experience or exposure to hotel operations and/or the hospitality real estate industry is desirable but not mandatory.
ACTIVITIES:
Conduct monthly financial reviews of property and portfolio performance, tracking ongoing results and identifying areas for improvement
Create and prepare financial models to support property/project valuations, lease analysis, and investment decisions
Identify, evaluate, and coordinate execution of property- and portfolio-level value-add opportunities and strategies
Prepare presentation materials and reports for various stakeholders
Communicate property performance and investment recommendations to senior management
Conduct market and industry research
Prepare benchmarking analysis and recommendations for property performance improvement
Assist and support underwriting process of annual Strategic and Business Plans
Assist and support annual budgeting review process
Assist and support management of capital projects and budgets
Assist with evaluation and due diligence of acquisition or disposition opportunities
Track and maintain information databases (e.g. terms of commercial leases, franchise agreements, management agreements, union agreements, etc.)
Build and manage relationships with internal and third-party property managers, brand partners, and business partners
Undertake ad-hoc analyses or special projects assigned by senior management
COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:
Academic/Education Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, Hotel Management, or related field is preferred
Knowledge, Experience and Skills Requirements:
Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) with ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with varied audiences
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (primarily in Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Strong understanding of real estate investment principles and evaluation metrics (e.g. IRR, NPV, ROI, Yield, NAV)
Familiarity with hotel performance indicators (e.g., OCC, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, NOI, CPOR, CPC)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing priorities and timelines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to methodically and resourcefully solve problems
Willingness to learn and grow in role
Willingness and ability to travel (domestically) as required
Finance, accounting, and/or hotel operations experience will be considered an asset
Ability to speak and write French will be considered an asset

Responsible for work area.
Responsible for confidential Asset Management and Finance documents, equipment, and protocols related to the company.
Working Conditions
Continuously working at a workstation assigned by the Manager.
Continuously working in a climate-controlled office.
Frequently travels to properties, as required.
Frequent meetings (in-person, virtual) to discuss various Asset Management subject matter.
