Position Profile: The Saskatchewan Health Authority, Swift Current is looking for two Anaesthesiologist to join our exceptional physician compliment in Swift Current, Sask. The position would require clinical services, out-patient services and emergency coverage. The successful candidate would be required to work with two other Anaesthesiologist providing the services required. This opportunity is a contracted position and the remuneration for call requirements is paid separately through the SMA specialist program.

Currently the call requirements 1:3. Those participating in call are reimbursed as part of the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. Members of the department are eligible for appointment to the faculty of the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, and take part in academic services including teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate learners.

Qualifications: Successful candidates will hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Royal College) in Anaesthesia or eligible to write Royal College examination. Applicant will be eligible for provisional or regular licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
