AltaGas - Manager, Community Investment

Reporting to the Senior Director of Sustainability, The Manager Community Investment incorporates the AltaGas mission and strategic value drivers to manage and continue with the development of a comprehensive, integrated, and proactive community engagement program. The Manager works closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate initiatives that further the companies\' positive reputation and impact within all the communities we serve across the enterprise.

The position provides guidance to Community Investment representatives throughout the company on governance, business process and procedures, and funding decisions; liaises with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to finance, operations, community groups, auditors, communications, digital; manages company grants of support, oversees corporate volunteer initiatives; develops reports and materials on companies\' community initiatives and serves as a representative internally and externally on community engagement. Directly manages the Advisor Community Investment.

You will

Develop and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders to create strategic partnerships to enhance corporate citizenship and responsibility, and promotion of the mission and goals of the companies.

Lead and manage the community investment portfolio for grant awards and support in alignment with company objectives and ensure compliance with allocated funding.

Create, operationalize, and oversee a comprehensive development plan with supporting governance and contribution budget as well as metrics of success.

Manage and oversee the company grant management platform, Versaic by Benevity, for grant request submissions.

Manage and oversee and liaise with internal stakeholders to optimize the implementation and use of the employee engagement platform Spark by Benevity.

Develop, implement, and oversee a calendar of community engagement events, track internal and external stakeholder engagement, influence, and results.

Facilitate, develop, implement, and organize the integration of the companies\xe2\x80\x99 volunteerism

Prepare reporting and documents for internal distribution and for the corporate sustainability report.

Advise and counsel on corporate citizenship best practices, potential challenges and opportunities, and overall evaluation of company social responsibility.

You have

Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field, preferred

Certification or accreditation in social responsibility and/or sustainability is considered an asset

7+ years of related experience required

2+ years of supervisory experience required

Ability to evaluate and analyze cost and risk in relation to the benefits.

Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism.

Ability to demonstrate proactive resourcefulness in analyzing prospective community partners and stakeholders.

Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems, showing a track record of making business decisions using relevant data and insights.

Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication.

Passion for serving the community with a strong acumen in business and operations.

Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions with community interests as a focal point.

Ability to influence and drive results laterally and remotely through cross-functional colleagues.

Demonstrated ability to be a strong, succinct, and influential communicator
