Airport Security Service Technician (Level 1, 2, and 3) KPrime Technologies is a vibrant and thriving company that is the foremost independent sales & service provider for chemical and security detection instruments in Western Canada with active sales and support throughout Canada. As an Airport Security Service Technician, you will be a part of a team providing service on The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority\xe2\x80\x99s (CATSA) passenger screening equipment at airports across Canada. This includes service such as the installation, repair, and maintenance of passenger screening systems. Specific and complete in-class and hands-on training will be provided to support you in your role. The ideal candidate will possess a base knowledge of mechanical/electronics technical skills and take pride in putting out high quality workmanship. *Please note: This position will contain 70% travel to Northern Sites in Canada ( 3 week rotations to work at remote sites). Please note this is a range posting, and level will be based on experience. Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide service, installation, repair and maintenance of electrical/mechanical systems and equipment
• Order, receive and return parts as required
• Complete documentation and reports in a timely and concise manner
• Liaise with on-site staff and partners in a professional manner
• Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental policies

Education/Skills Requirements:

• Graduate of technical school, military training in electronics engineering technology, and/or related trade certification required
• Experience in a field service environment with direct experience in x-ray, screening technologies, and/or knowledge of complex mechanical systems is highly desirable
• Computer literacy and aptitude for learning specialized software programs
• Motivated, self-starter with strong communication skills (English Fluency is mandatory. French fluency would be an asset)
• Excellent customer interface and communication skills, both verbal and written are required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and Operating Systems

Physical Requirements:

• Possess strong hands-on abilities, manual dexterity, physical strength, and stamina
• Capability to sit, stand for prolonged periods, walk, climb, reach, bend and maneuver around equipment and work areas is required
• Some lifting of weight up to 50 lbs / 23 kgs

Additionally, to qualify and be considered for this employment, you must:

• Pass a Government of Canada security background checks for high level security clearance
• Be permanent resident of Canada, or minimum 5 years of living in Canada with a valid work visa.
• Hold a valid driver\'s license and reliable access to motor vehicle transportation
• Hold a valid passport or work visa for training in the United States
• Have the ability to work an irregular work schedule, which involves shift work and on-call duties
• Have the ability to travel to remote airport locations for maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Have the ability to work on special projects from time to time and travel on short notice as required.
