About the role

  • Review and provide disposition to assigned Technical Problem Reports having Reliability and Maintainability implications.
  • Develop Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR) (Electronic Maintenance Task/plan data) in support of the publications update cycle and implement within the LSAR database.
  • Support DND during implementation of Logistic Support Analysis Record changes within the Electronic Record Keeping System.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement with the LSAR data.
  • Work with LM provisioning to resolve any identified Master Material Record issues.
  • Monitor and analyze failure data originating from the Canada CC-130J fleet to identify failure causes and identify trends.
  • Identify and propose changes to the maintenance program and publications leading to improvements in reliability and maintainability.
  • Coordinate reliability reviews with internal stakeholders.
  • Identify design change opportunities resulting in increased reliability and maintainability.
  • Prepare business case analysis and present improvement opportunities to the CC-130J In-Service Support (ISS) leadership.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on any issues related to Logistic Support Analysis, reliability, or maintainability.
  • Maintain the CC-130J Logistic Support Analysis Support Plan and associated Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Develop and operationalize annual objectives for the ISS Logistic Support Analysis Support System, and brief progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support diagnostic site visits.
  • Lead projects spanning multiple support systems.
What you bring to the role
  • Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5-8 years of professional experience; or 3-5 years of experience required with a related Master\'s degree;
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering principles;
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning, and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with other internal and customer counterparts, both verbally and in writing;
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and report program or technical issues, and develop and propose solutions;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal management support.
Additional skills desired for the role
  • Knowledge of aviation systems and maintenance;
  • Reliability and Maintainability experience;
  • Experience with identification and tracking of hardware, RMA, and performance metrics;
  • Experience with in-service support programs or DND programs;
  • Experience with aircraft operations.
