Job Overview

We are seeking a Technician, Wheels Disassembly, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge, and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. As a Technician, Wheels Disassembly you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

The Technician, Wheels Disassembly is responsible for contributing to the overall success of the company.

The purpose of the Technician, position is to perform inspection, repair and overhaul tasks on aircraft components according to the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), other pertinent Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICAs), Hope Aero Propeller & Components, Inc. (Hope Aero) policies and procedures (QSM), and customer instructions.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct production activities are conducted in accordance with the QSM and component maintenance manuals. Document tasks completed and update status of work. Review documentation to confirm the work scope and condition of component. Complete all and any work according to the work scope. Disassemble component if not yet completed. Identify and document damaged or worn parts. Prepare parts for cleaning and stripping. Clean, dry and strip parts using correct materials and processes. Identify and document the serviceability of sub-assemblies. Rework parts. Apply corrosion inhibitors as required. Determine materials required. Test component. Inspect or arrange for inspection as required. Inspect tasks completed by other Technicians within approved scope of authority. Send components to next station as required.

Qualifications

Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding mechanical systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Work Environment

Open shop environment subject to noise. Subject to temperature fluctuations. Shop may have odors of paint, grease, and other chemicals. Will be required to work on feet for long periods of time. Fast paced work environment, overtime may be requested during busy seasons. Employee-owned tools required, please see Procedure Manual Section P-30 for details.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
