We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic aviation team. Responsibilities



Support all maintenance operations while strictly adhering to safety regulations and learning technical skills Perform routine and scheduled inspections of aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, electrical systems, and mechanical components in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS) and industry standards. Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and root cause analysis techniques to identify faults accurately. Conduct inspections and non specialized minor repairs on aircraft structures using power tools, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters. Assist in assembly tasks during aircraft upgrades or component replacements while adhering to strict safety protocols. Learning to conduct inspections to identify maintenance requirements and ensuring all systems and components meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety. Support equipment repair activities for ground support equipment and other aviation-related machinery. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by performing root cause analysis on recurring issues to enhance maintenance procedures. Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the hangar facility, and always using proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Performing physically demanding work, including lifting components, working in confined spaces, and in various indoor and outdoor weather conditions.

Experience



Completion of secondary school (high school diploma or equivalent) is required, with a focus on English, mathematics, and physics. Most successful applicants have also completed an approved college diploma program in aircraft maintenance, which provides theoretical knowledge and hands-on training. Applicants should possess basic knowledge of aircraft (specifically rotary wing) structural, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, as well as an ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematic diagrams. While most hands-on experience is gained during the apprenticeship, basic mechanical skills and the ability to work with tools are necessary. Trainees are expected to learn how to perform routine checks, troubleshoot issues under supervision, and document their work accurately. Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to aviation components and sheet metal fabrication techniques. Knowledge of TC regulations governing aircraft maintenance practices is essential. Experience in keeping detailed records of work performed is important, as comprehensive logbooks of all maintenance tasks are required for eventual licensing by Transport Canada. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members across various departments involved in aircraft upkeep. The role requires physical fitness to work in various conditions and confined spaces, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Flexibility to work shifts (days, evenings, weekends) and an on-call rotation is often necessary in the operational environment.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
