About the Role builtstream Inc. is looking for an Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Application Developer to join our growing, experienced team. The successful candidate will work with the business and development teams to create and enhance applications to automate the transformation of object data into digital models. Development and research efforts will focus on designing and implementing an AI/ML application pipeline from data input to final outputs and visualization in a production environment. The resulting application will provide high-quality, accurate and robust solutions for analytical automation and seamless integration with best-in-class industry tools. The AI/ML Application Developer will help define and clarify functional and non-functional requirements, including feasibility, time requirements, model requirements and performance capabilities, based on their expertise and inputs from other team members, users and industry experts. The Developer will also create, select, design and build the AI/ML models required to advance the technology and the business.

Responsibilities
  • Formulate application requirements into AI/ML problems. Requirements may include regulatory, industry (e.g., ISO), business and customer requirements into application designs and AI/ML models
  • Select and design/build AI/ML models from scratch
  • Design and implement the AI/ML application pipeline
  • Design, implement and manage the continuous integration and deployment
  • Design, implement and manage solution testing with a particular focus on quality, performance and user experience
  • Keep current with related technologies, methodologies, frameworks and resources, which will include research and communications of finding to team members
  • Write technical documentation or papers describing research and research findings, development, logic, coding and corrections

Qualifications
  • Three or more years of developing commercial AI/ML solutions
  • Solid understanding of the concepts required for standard AI/ML algorithms
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Proficiency in key ML / AI frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, Statsmodels, Python data science stack, etc.
  • A mathematical background which includes statistical analysis, probabilities, optimization and linear algebra
  • At the minimum, a Bachelor\'s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Statistics
  • Specialized knowledge in vision systems, image processing, would be an asset
