Ignite a meaningful career at Westerner Park where boundless opportunities, growth, and fulfillment await YOU.Westerner Park is seeking an Agriculture Events Assistant summer student to join our team as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program! Herexe2x80x99s what youxe2x80x99ll be doing:

• Groundskeeping - clearing manure and animal excrement out of parking and ag show areas
• Responsible for the oversight of stall cleaning, final check on these areas to ensure that they're properly cleaned before the next event comes in, including completing additional cleaning tasks
• Clean and sanitize animal stalls to ensure they are safe and ready to use for the next show.
• Equipment use - driving tractors and other equipment for event set up and take downs
• General labour - physical handling of event related materials and equipment such as steel, animal stalls, shovels, rakes, jump equipment, and other
• Working in close proximity to animals and equipment
• Ensuring animal waste bins are emptied and moved to the appropriate locations for shows

Is this you? Herexe2x80x99s what wexe2x80x99re looking for:

• Experience in an agricultural setting, particularly with operating agricultural equipment & working around livestock animals
• Landscaping or groundskeeping experience is an asset
• Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite
• A pleasant, positive, and courteous attitude with clients & staff
• Must qualify for the Canada Summer Jobs Program

Rate of Pay: $18.00 Per Hour
Affiliation: Member of the Westerner Employeexe2x80x99s Association
Anticipated Start Date: TBD Pending funding and approval from Canada Summer Jobs
