Overview:Le Centre de sant\xc3\xa9 Tulattavik de L\xe2\x80\x99Ungava est situ\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 Kuujjuaq. Il dispense l\xe2\x80\x99ensemble des services de sant\xc3\xa9 et services sociaux dans la partie est du Nunavik. Il dessert sept communaut\xc3\xa9s Inuites avec autant de CLSC, un centre pour personnes \xc3\xa2g\xc3\xa9es et un centre hospitalier \xc3\xa0 Kuujjuaq. Il emploie environ 1,000 employ\xc3\xa9s : administrateurs, professionnels, m\xc3\xa9decins, dentistes, psychologues, infirmiers, travailleurs sociaux, personnel de soutien, employ\xc3\xa9s occasionnels, etc.Les communaut\xc3\xa9s du Nunavik sont situ\xc3\xa9es au nord du 55e parall\xc3\xa8le o\xc3\xb9 pr\xc3\xa9vaut un climat subarctique. Il entra\xc3\xaene l\xe2\x80\x99existence d\xe2\x80\x99un perg\xc3\xa9lisol et ne permet aucune agriculture. Le Nunavik est la plus grande r\xc3\xa9gion couvrant environ le tiers de la superficie globale du Qu\xc3\xa9bec. Aucune liaison routi\xc3\xa8re n\xe2\x80\x99existe entre les communaut\xc3\xa9s du Nunavik et le Qu\xc3\xa9bec m\xc3\xa9ridional, ni entre les communaut\xc3\xa9s du Nunavik elles-m\xc3\xaames. On a acc\xc3\xa8s \xc3\xa0 cette r\xc3\xa9gion et \xc3\xa0 ses communaut\xc3\xa9s que par avion et par bateau.The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is located in Kuujjuaq and offers the whole health and social services in the eastern part of Nunavik. Serving seven Inuit communities with an equal number of CLSC, a center for the elderly and the hospital in Kuujjuaq, it employs approximately 1,000 employees: administrators, professionals, doctors, dentists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, support staff, etc.Nunavik communities are located north of the 55th parallel where a subarctic climate prevails. It implies the existence of permafrost allowing no agriculture. Nunavik is the largest region covering about a third of the total area of Quebec. No road link exists between the communities of Nunavik and southern Quebec, and between Nunavik communities themselves. We have access to the region and its communities by air travel and by boat.   • R\xc3\xa9ception des signalements et des demandes d\xe2\x80\x99information, selon le protocole de r\xc3\xa9ception et de traitement des signalements et d\xe2\x80\x99information en vigueur;
  • Traitement des signalements; recueillir les informations pertinentes permettant de statuer sur la r\xc3\xa9tention ou non du signalement. Au besoin : l\xe2\x80\x99intervenant devra effectuer une intervention terrain, une v\xc3\xa9rification compl\xc3\xa9mentaire ou d\xc3\xa9cider si une mesure d`urgence s\xe2\x80\x99impose et r\xc3\xa9f\xc3\xa9rer le dossier au personnel concern\xc3\xa9 le cas \xc3\xa9ch\xc3\xa9ant;
  • D\xc3\xa9terminer le degr\xc3\xa9 d`urgence de l`intervention (code 1-2-3);
  • R\xc3\xa9diger le rapport du signalement et l\xe2\x80\x99acheminer aux personnes concern\xc3\xa9es;
  • Informer la personne signalant une situation ou demandant une information de la non-r\xc3\xa9tention d\xe2\x80\x99un dossier et la diriger vers d`autres ressources lorsque n\xc3\xa9cessaire afin d\xe2\x80\x99assurer la continuit\xc3\xa9 des
  • Compl\xc3\xa9ter les t\xc3\xa2ches clinico-administratives reli\xc3\xa9es \xc3\xa0 ses fonctions;
  • Assurer des p\xc3\xa9riodes de garde psychosociale;
  • Faire des remplacements et se d\xc3\xa9placer dans les villages de la c\xc3\xb4te d\xe2\x80\x99Ungava;
  • Toutes autres t\xc3\xa2ches connexes \xc3\xa0 la demande de son sup\xc3\xa9rieur imm\xc3\xa9diat.
Qualifications:
  • Doit d\xc3\xa9tenir un dipl\xc3\xb4me universitaire en sciences humaines (baccalaur\xc3\xa9at) tel que : travail social, service social, criminologie, psychologie ou psycho\xc3\xa9ducation;
  • En l\xe2\x80\x99absence de candidature ARH r\xc3\xa9pondant \xc3\xa0 l\xe2\x80\x99ensemble des exigences du poste, un candidat poss\xc3\xa9dant une technique dans une discipline appropri\xc3\xa9e (ex. : travail social, \xc3\xa9ducation sp\xc3\xa9cialis\xc3\xa9e, intervention en d\xc3\xa9linquance, etc.) pourra \xc3\xaatre consid\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xa9e.   • Receiving reports and requests for information, according to the protocol for receiving and processing reports and information in effect;
  • Processing of alerts; gathering relevant information to decide whether or not to retain the If necessary: the intervener will have to carry out a field intervention, a complementary verification or decide if an emergency measure is necessary and refer the file to the concerned personnel if necessary;
  • Determine the degree of urgency of the intervention (code 1-2-3);
  • Write the report of the alert and forward it to the persons concerned;
  • Inform the person reporting a situation or requesting information of the non-retention of a file and refer them to other resources when necessary to ensure continuity of

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must hold a Bachelor degree in Human Sciences in : Social Work, Social Services, Criminology, Psychology or Psycho-Education;
  • In the absence of an HRO application that meets all the requirements of the position, a candidate with a technique in an appropriate discipline (ex.: social work, special education, delinquency intervention, etc.) may be considered. If a technician candidate is selected, the applicable salary scale will be the one that corresponds to his/her level of
  • Training in intercultural intervention or mediation an asset;
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of the Youth Protection Act and the concept of protection;
  • Fluency in French, good knowledge of English (spoken and written); knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset
  • Ability to adapt to a different environment and culture;
  • Sensitivity to issues related to intervention in a northern context;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the main issues associated with the Inuit clientele according to the YPA and be committed to learning and developing skills related to this intervention in a northern context;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the stages, processes and benchmarks of normal child development from 0 to 18 years of age;
  • Knowledge and ability to apply the various approaches used with youth and their families;
  • Sense of analysis and synthesis and good writing skills;
  • Ability to adapt and manage priorities;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Professional, rigorous, autonomous, good listening skills and very good clinical judgment;
  • Must have a valid driver\'s license.
