Afterschool Program Worker

Job Description
Harmony House Shelter is looking for two caring and energetic Afterschool Program Workers who want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children. In this position, you would be working with a supportive team to support children ages 6-14 living in the shelter. This role helps create a safe, structured, and fun environment where kids can thrive, using a trauma-informed approach.
Key Duties:
Plan and lead engaging activities (homework help, games, outings). Foster a warm, supportive atmosphere for participants. Communicate with parents and collaborate with staff. Manage snacks and meal service; set up and clean up activities. Ensure documentation and maintain program data.
Qualifications:
Minimum age 18; legally eligible to work in Canada. Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening. Current First Aid & CPR certification. Experience working with children and youth; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
