Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Teach Mentorhood Math curriculum (Singapore Math) classes to small groups, Grade 6 to 12.
Prepare lesson materials, games, worksheets, mark homework and update progress.
Maintain on-going communications with parents.
Free regular Online Teacher Trainings are provided. (Flexible hours)
Requirements
Eligible to legally work in Canada Bachelor's degree and / or OCT certified Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Must attend and pass the Free Mentorhood Teacher Training Online (minimum of 3 hours) Display a positive attitude and rapport with students Must be able to provide an up to date security clearance/background check Tutor must be available on:
Wed 5-7pm (Markham); Tuesday and Thursday 4-7pm (Richmond Hill)
Have experience teaching or participating in Math competitions: Math Kangaroo (Canadian / US) is an advantage. Have experience or willing to teach Kindergarten to Grade 5 children is an advantage. Native Mandarin Speaker is an advantage.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
