full potential. Our free after-school programs combine the game of soccer, the art of poetry, and community service
experiences, as well as providing ongoing mentorship, to inspire youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and
have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world.
Job Summary:
CS is seeking several reliable, dynamic, and team-oriented Program Leaders to join our Metro Vancouver team. The Program Leader is a key member of our team and is responsible for leading and implementing our after-school programs for elementary school children (grades 4-7).
Main Responsibilities (but not limited to):
? Oversee the recruitment and registration of our program participants in partnership with representatives from our schools
? Implement the SCORES curriculum (soccer, poetry, and community project)
? Maintain daily attendance records
? Distribute, collect, and maintain inventory of all soccer equipment and classroom supplies issued by CS
? Complete season and year-end evaluations (fitness assessments, soccer assessments, poetry assessments, and surveys)
? Chaperone participants to program events (Fall Frenzy, Poetry Slams, Spring Jamboree, Shout, and Vancouver Whitecaps game)
? Connect and support parents/guardians to ensure the success of their children
? Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Qualifications and Requirements:
? Must be at least 19 years of age
? Knowledge of working with children, social and emotional learning, physical literacy, group management, behavior management, and counseling
? Experience in planning and leading activities for groups of children in a recreational setting
? Cultural and social sensitivity that embraces multiculturalism and diversity
? Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
? Current class 5 Driver's License (preferred)
? Access to a vehicle (preferred)
? Current criminal record check (or willing to consent)
? Current first aid certification (or willing to certify)
Hours of Work and Compensation:
This is a part-time contract position working weekday afternoon shifts (must be available between 2:45 pm and 4:45 pm), for 4-10 hours per week at multiple school locations. The hourly wage starts at $20 per hour plus 4% vacation pay. This position will run from January to early June 2026.
