We are looking for an experienced and passionate Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has experience caring for children, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is capable of providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children in their care. A successful candidate will have experience working with children, a passion for teaching and learning, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Plan and implement activities that promote physical, mental, and social development. Maintain a clean and organized environment. Observe and monitor children's play activities. Provide guidance to children on appropriate behaviour. Provide age-appropriate education and activities.
We have openings for multiple positions for our after school program with Preprimary to Grade 6 children at Bluenose School. This position is approximately 4 hours from school dismissal until 5:30pm Monday to Friday until the end of school in June 2025. The program does not run on holidays or when the school is closed.

Those applicants with an Early Childhood Education Classification will be paid on the Nova Scotia ECE Wage Scale.

Successful candidates will be required to submit a resume, as well as provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check, a Child Abuse Registry Check and Standard First Aid-CPR C certification, or willing to obtain. You must be eligible to work in Canada.

Those selected for an interview will be contacted. Interviews will be held in person in Bridgewater, NS or can be done virtually.
