Hiring Now: After-School Music Teachers (Ages 6-11)

Help Kids Discover the Joy of Music

At On The Off Beat Music School, we believe music should be fun, inspiring, and confidence-building. We're looking for energetic and creative instructors to join our After-School Program starting September 2025.

About Us

We're a Toronto-based, musician-run school with a simple mission: support both students and teachers. Having taught at many of the city's top schools, we know the realities of music education and have built a program that puts community, creativity, and teacher support first.

The Position

As an After-School Music Teacher, you'll lead group classes for kids ages 6-11 that combine music, movement, and creativity. Some examples of classes we've offered include:

Glee Club Ukulele Musical Theatre Songwriting & Singing Taylor Swift Song Study
Additional duties include:

Guiding small groups in a safe and positive environment Walking students from local schools to our east-end studio (Gerrard & Jones) Teaching weekday shifts from 3:10-6:00 PM Compensation: $105 per session

Additional Opportunities

If you'd like more hours, you can also teach private lessons after the program (6:00-9:00 PM).

We're Looking For Teachers Who:

? Have experience teaching or leading children (especially ages 6-11)
? Hold a background in music performance, education, or related experience
? Can manage group classes with structure and enthusiasm
? Are dependable, organized, and strong communicators
? Are comfortable walking students from nearby schools to the studio
