As the Advisor, Brand Communications you play a critical role in driving awareness and brand love through public relations tactics and strategies. You\xe2\x80\x99ll manage the day-to-day execution of strategic brand communications activities such as seasonal campaigns, media and influencer experiences and stakeholder relations that demonstrate why Canadian Tire makes life in Canada better.

To help define where and how we work, CTC has introduced Hybrid Workplace Personas. While each role fits into a different persona category, this may evolve as employees progress in their career or business needs change. The Advisor, Brand Communications position is categorized as a Roamer, which means that the incumbent can successfully complete their role objectives virtually and are not required to be present on a CTC campus unless they choose to do so. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be joining a hardworking, creative, and strategic team that continues to raise the bar.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

Create and manage dynamic experiences for media, influencers and customers to build brand affinity

Develop and support best-in-class media, influencer, content creator and PR campaigns that deliver integrated business results

Develop and execute innovative brand communication plans and programs that meet business and stakeholder requirements while ensuring consistent, timely and efficient communications

Act as a communications team player on various projects, working closely with fellow advisors, managers, business leads and project teams to develop effective integrated brand communication plans

Manage relationships with agency partners, internal stakeholders and vendors

Develop drafts of media materials for review that are appropriately written and factually correct

Respond effectively to media requests

Participate in the measurement of the effectiveness of communication and PR channels and provide expertise in the development of recommended opportunities for improvement

Research and stay current on emerging trends, industry news and opportunities in the field of communications and public relations.

What you bring

4-6 years of progressive experience in the public relations/communications/brand/marketing fields, with strong media relationships, influencer and content creation knowledge, and experiential marketing experience

Expertise in social media, influencer marketing plan development

Experience working directly with media and influencers

Experience in experiential marketing and event management

Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, or related degree/diploma

Agency experience is a strong asset

Excellent written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to balance multiple priorities, prioritize and deliver programs and tactics on time and on budget in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

You know how to build authentic and meaningful relationships, both internally and externally

Self-starter with a constant improvement mindset, who lives and breathes brand

Fun, enthusiastic, and creative!

Passion, knowledge, and involvement in creative storytelling and content creation is a plus
