The Opportunity:

As a member of the Commercial Mortgages Administration team, your main responsibility will be to ensure smooth business operations and the integrity and accuracy of the books and records of the loan management system by performing various daily control, monitoring, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will need to be an effective communicator with time-management and analytical skills, and who can confidently work as a team member in a fast-paced office.

How you will create impact:

  • You ensure the mortgage commitments are set up and maintained in the Loan Management System in accordance with established processes and guidelines;
  • You manage and reconcile daily mortgage transactions (mortgage advances, payment collections and remittances);
  • You assist the Mortgage Analysts with legal document follow-up and code the registrations in the Loan Management System;
  • You code and analyse information including Property Taxes, Insurance Policies and Financial Statements;
  • You work efficiently with key internal and external stakeholders (Servicing Agents, Municipal Tax Authorities, Insurance Agents, Solicitors and Borrowers);
  • You promote operational effectiveness by identifying opportunities and proposing innovative solutions for the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) in order to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders;

To join our team:

  • You have a post-secondary education in Business or an equivalent of combined education and work experience;
  • You have previous commercial mortgage experience, or real estate paralegal experience will be considered an asset;
  • You have proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel expertise.
