Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive, seasoned, and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Support V. This role primarily focuses on independently organizing and coordinating a variety of large and small-scale events within the Department of Surgery. Additionally, the selected candidate will assist with other administrative duties as assigned by the management team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of events and providing essential support for the department\'s administrative functions. Key Responsibilities: Independently plan, organize, and coordinate a diverse range of large and small-scale events within the Department of Surgery. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine event objectives, timelines, and requirements. Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, equipment setup, and transportation if needed. Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial adherence throughout the planning process. Create and distribute event materials, invitations, and communications to attendees. Oversee event registration processes and manage attendee lists. Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues that may arise. Assist with post-event activities, including gathering feedback, compiling reports, and analyzing event success. Handle general administrative tasks, including correspondence, data entry, and file management. Collaborate with the management team to complete various administrative assignments.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Additional Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in event coordination and planning, with a track record of successfully executing both large and small-scale events. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple tasks and priorities. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment. Flexibility and adaptability to handle unexpected situations and changes in plans. Preferred Qualifications:
