Your Opportunity:The Stollery Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, is a 69 funded bed unit that accepts babies from all over Northern Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut, and is characterized by high acuity and high activity. The Staffing Clerk position reports directly to the Unit Manager, Northern Alberta Neonatal Intensive Care Program. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring there is adequate staff coverage (RNs, LPNs, Unit Clerks and Service Attendants) for NICU. The successful candidate is also responsible for accurate payroll entry as per appropriate Collective Agreements and other duties as assigned. Other duties include successfully completing projects under tight timelines and with frequent interruptions. Must be able to work well in a highly stressful, fast-paced environment.Description:As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:Some post-secondary education. Additional Required Qualifications:High School Diploma and experience within a medical/hospital setting is required. Preference will be given to candidates with an Administrative Professional Diploma or equivalent. Experience with Microsoft Office is essential. Strong proof reading and typing skills are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. An ability to work independently with minimal direction is essential. Must be able to work well with Colleagues, Partners and Staff to achieve shared goals. Must have at least two years related experience. Current ESP experience/training required. Preferred Qualifications:Related hospital experience, especially in NICU is preferred.
