Your Opportunity:Reporting to the Care Manager, Seniors Health, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Care Manager by coordinating and managing the day-to-day administrative and clerical requirements ensuring smooth coordination of workflow and communication. Also, this position provides support to the Mackenzie Place Type B facility, units 1 East and 2 East Duties include meeting and greeting staff and public, reviewing incoming correspondence and documents, preparation of documentation, data collection and research, coordinating schedules, dissemination of information to staff and clients, operating and troubleshooting office equipment, ordering supplies/equipment, making travel and meeting arrangements, and directing and ensuring the integrity of confidential information. Excellent organizational skills and prioritization of tasks is essential for success. This position is in a high paced work environment, ability to prioritize work items is essential. The Administrative Assistance accepts responsibility for continuing competency through ongoing development. Being responsible for identifying his/her learning needs, the incumbent is responsible and accountable for the assigned tasks and support functions and for understanding and reporting tasks and functions he/she is unable to perform. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.Description:As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
