Your Opportunity:The Rural Addiction and Mental Health program spans across High River, Black Diamond and Okotoks. Our program provides short-term episodic care to individuals across the lifespan with the outcome to integrate our clients back into the community. Our team consists of Family Counsellors, Addiction Counsellors, Community Liaison Workers, Outreach, Psychiatry and Administrative Support who follow a stepped care approach within Addictions and Mental Health. As the Administrative Support IV you will provide administrative support to the Adult and Youth, Outreach, Psychiatry Consultation and Geriatric programs within the Rural Addiction and Mental Health Community Clinics. You will be responsible for scheduling client appointments, waitlist/referral management, preparing charts for client appointments, dictation and transcription, photocopying and distributing correspondence, sending, receiving and routing mail and fax communication, maintaining program files, ordering supplies and assisting with program support activities. In addition, this role will also provide support to the Manager by maintaining computer reports, and statistical information. Additionally, you will demonstrate professionalism and customer service skills with clients, families, and co-workers; be self-directed; have strong written and verbal communication skills; exercise sound judgement, time management, confliction resolution and problem-solving skills; maintain accurate and thorough documentation; show accountability; and foster collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary team. This position has been identified and is anticipated to transition to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Required Qualifications:Some post-secondary education. Additional Required Qualifications:Medical Office Assistant Certificate/ Unit Clerk course with Medical Terminology. Minimum 1 year experience providing administrative support in a mental health outpatient setting within the last 3 years. Minimum 60-80 wpm typing speed. You will be expected to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability within a complex and rapidly changing environment and an ability to communicate with complex and sometimes difficult clients and families. Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in rural community mental health clinic setting within the last 2 years. Experience with dictation and transcription. Experience using the following: ARMHIS data base, ASIST, Netcare, e-Scheduler NVCI certification within the last 2 years. Excellent knowledge of computer software - MS Office Suite. Knowledge of e-People and payroll/time coding.
