Your Opportunity:
Under minimal supervision and within established guidelines, this position is responsible for a variety of clerical and booking functions that support the smooth and efficient operation of the Pre-Admission Clinic. The responsibilities and functions of the Clerk IV role include processing clinic referrals, checking for completeness of information, and contacting respective Physicians to collate missing information; triaging and booking referrals through Connect Care; assisting with clinic/patient follow-up; completing correspondence/reports and using confidential patient information. Complex scheduling of many providers in PAC is a constant workload and requires advanced skills to manage. This position supports 3 separate Clinics within PAC.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary education (Office Administration, Business Administration Diploma, or Medical Office Assistant) required. Medical Terminology Course. Minimum 1 year experience as a Clerk IV in a busy Ambulatory or Surgical Clinic in healthcare required (within the last 2 years). Demonstrated ability to problem solve, multi-task and work independently. Proficient prior booking experience for large teams of providers. Prior Connect Care Ambulatory, PAC Front desk and Schegistrar with Referrals role experience. Candidate must be able to multi-task with adaptability to frequently changing demands in this busy clinic. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including telephone etiquette). Requires extensive knowledge of scheduling multi-team members proficiently. Referral management experience required. Must be proficient with all Microsoft applications. Typing test successful completion required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Pre-Admission Clinic specific experience within last 3 years.
