Your Opportunity:

Under minimal direction and supervision the billing clerk is responsible for accurately entering all patient encounter billing information into the billing software database for the Department of Paediatrics AARP physicians as well as for the Clinical ARP participating physicians (collectively called participating physicians). This includes research to provide all necessary information is documented as per AH&W rules and regulations. The Clerk will participate in teaching participating physicians about billing practices and process. The clerk reviews rejected billing reports, determines the problem, and resolves as required. She/he will participate in the generation of reports as required.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education. Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous billing experience preferred. Completion of a medical billings course preferred. Completion of a medical terminology course preferred. Intermediate abilities with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint). Ability to manage electronic databases and database software with proven accuracy and efficiency. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to perform intermediate computer operations, including: preparing reports, spreadsheets, data entry, and other related duties. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, make independent decisions and respond to the changing needs in a team, environment with minimal supervision. 60 wpm keyboarding.
