Your Opportunity:Edmonton Zone, Single Hub Access Referral Program GI (SHARPGI) Triage Administrative Support III duties include referral management of incoming referrals for processing and recording for the Edmonton Zone SHARPGI program. This position serves as a liaison and program resource for referring physician within the Edmonton Zone. The Administrative Support III will work closely with the triage Registered Nurses, Physician, and other team members to improve the business process including process improvement and quality management. The Administrative Support III will assist with accurate data collection, data review and analysis. The Administrative Support III will contact patients and assist with booking them into clinic. The Administrative Support III will assist with payroll and time entry needs of the program. The successful applicant needs to be able to work independently, in a fast-paced environment with numerous interruptions and changes in workflow. They should also possess the ability to work in a team environment and have strong verbal communication.Description:As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of current medical or clerical experience in referral management required. Completion of Accredited Unit Clerk / MOA program. Extensive experience and competence with multiple computer systems required including Outlook, MS Word, and Excel. Accurate keyboarding required (at least 50 words/minute). Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task required. Ability to adapt to changing/expanding environment required. Excellent English verbal and written skills required. Ability to work with frequent interruptions in a loud and busy environment required. Ability to foster positive interpersonal and communication skills with health care providers, allied health care professionals, peers, departmental management, and other individuals in a professional manner required. Required to work with minimal supervision, prioritize, and problem solve tasks within many changing situations. Ability to use sound judgment and analytical skills using a high degree of accuracy to make decisions regarding patient referrals required. Experience with office equipment, such as fax, photocopier, and multi-line telephones required. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with payroll and timekeeping preferred. Data review, collection and analysis experience preferred. Experience with detailed clinical reporting and the creation and managing of excel spreadsheets preferred. Experience using Connect Care (Epic) & NetCare with referral clerical training preferred. Rightfax experience preferred.
