Your Opportunity:Alberta Health Services is looking for an Administrative Support II, Diet Clerk position. As a dedicated member of the Patient Food Services (PFS) team, you have the opportunity to have a significant role in providing high quality meal service to patients at the new Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre (ACCC). With limited supervision, you will be responsible to receive patient meal orders directly for patients and family members. Receive and process meal requests, follow established procedures to maintain patient information related to the provision of meal service, prepare supply ordering information, prepare financial reports as requested, and complete staff scheduling and replacement as required; effectively communicate with other departments on matters related to patient meals, snacks, nourishment supplies. The successful candidate will be able to: Work in a fast-paced environment with speed and accuracy; work under pressure in high stress situations; communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, and health care professionals; demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative; work as an effective, professional team member with a focus on exceptional patient centered care. As a Diet Clerk, you will require specialized administrative skills and knowledge to support procedures, practices, and initiatives within a department as well as through, detailed knowledge of therapeutic diets and restrictions. You will apply your well-developed knowledge of CBORD and EPIC to complete your tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. This position is required to be able to bend, lift, push up to 20 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds without assistance. Long periods of sedentary work with repetitive hand movements required.Description:As an Administrative Support II, you will require administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare food service environment required. Minimum 1 year customer service experience. Advanced knowledge of therapeutic diets and restrictions required. Comprehensive knowledge of CBORD and EPIC required. Minimum 35 words per minute typing skills required. Ability to bend, lift, push, and pull items up to 20 pounds without assistance. Long periods of sedentary work with repetitive hand movements required. EPIC Clinical View Only Training required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications required. Completion of e-People Scheduler and Timekeeper completed.
