We are seeking someone passionate about dance to join our vibrant team! The ideal candidate will have a love of working with youth, excellent communication & organizational skills, valid dance experience & the ability to create an engaging learning environment for students of all ages. Prior experience with administrative tasks such as reception, data entry, sales, and customer service is highly valued to ensure smooth operations within our studio. For the right candidate, this role may also involve instructing dance classes, with the possiblilty of developing into a permanent part-time teaching position in the future (we are willing to train the right candidate). We are looking for someone who has past dance experience and can foster a positive atmosphere that encourages growth and confidence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire others through movement while utilizing organizational and clerical skills to support studio functions.
Responsibilities
Assist with studio administrative tasks including data entry, dance wear sales, costume organization and class registrations
Manage studio front desk duties such as greeting clients, answering phone systems, and handling inquiries
Support studio marketing efforts by promoting the studio through social media or community outreach when needed
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of studio space, including light cleaning duties & maintaining supplies
Instruct dance classes at the recreational level in preschool, ballet, jazz, tap & contemporary styles - tailoring lessons to meet student needs & enjoyment-encouraging confidence & improvement (some training can be provided)
Maintain a safe and positive environment during all classes and studio activities
Requirements
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many students and administrative duties efficiently
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, data entry, and basic computer skills an asset (though not required, some training could be supplied)
Experience with office management tasks such as filing, clerical work, or front desk operations is an asset
Ability to work well with diverse age groups in a professional manner
Reliable transportation and flexibility to work scheduled class times
Proven experience in dance instruction or related performing arts fields
A passion for teaching dance and inspiring young students to achieve their personal best
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
