The Office of the Attorney General is seeking an individual to provide administrative support in both official languages for the Legislative Services Branch in Fredericton. What you will do
As a member of the Legislative Services Branch, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Branch including to lawyers, management and the Legislative Publishing Group. Work environment

  • Office location: 675 King Street, Fredericton
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30
  • Working outside of regular hours may be required on occasion
  • We promote a scent-reduced environment
Who you are
The position requires a motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to assume a wide variety of duties. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and must perform administrative functions in an exact manner with minimum supervision. Candidates must be comfortable working in a legal environment. Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. Technical competencies: The successful candidate will possess the following technical competencies:
  • Full competency in Microsoft Office Suite
Need to have
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required, and a minimum of one year related post-secondary education. A minimum of five (5) years of administrative work experience is also required OR a high school diploma or GED; and a minimum of six (6) years administrative work experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability. Candidates must demonstrate on their applications how they have acquired the education and experience for this position.   • Experience working with confidential and/or legal documents
  • Experience working in a legal setting
