NATURE OF WORK
Reporting to the Coordinator of Staffing, the Staffing Administrative Officer is responsible for technical and administrative duties in support of the HR Staffing Department. In addition, this position will assist with event planning and management, support the development and implementation of strategies and programs to enhance the attraction and retention of candidates at the Cree School Board and support with the implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS
Participate in the development of HR Staffing objectives and strategies.
Support with developing and updating HR administrative policies, systems, standards and procedures and ensure their appropriate application.
Plan, organize and execute various technical and administrative activities for the Staffing department (planning & managing recruitment & orientation events, recruitment activities and advertising, minute-taking, HR systems management, etc.).
Participate in the development and implementation of relevant staffing related programs.
Participate in the planning, development and implementation of recruitment and employee on-boarding activities, including participating in interviews, job fairs, orientations, trainings and webinars.
Support with the planning and implementation of internal meetings and group sessions as required.
Collaborate in the development and creation of Staffing tools and programs.
Monitor success metrics and participants' satisfaction levels and proactively identify and implement adjustments to the Staffing programs and initiatives as needed.
Complete tasks and produce deliverables that are aligned with the standards and expectations of the Staffing department.
Ensure that CSB administrative standards are applied across HR projects and initiatives.
Establish and maintain effective communications and relations with relevant HR stakeholders across the CSB.
Support other related duties, as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Hold a College Diploma in an appropriate field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of the GRICS system is an asset.
Comfortable working in a computerized environment.
Fluency in two of the three official languages of the Board (French, English or Cree).
Ability to travel.
Annual holidays must be scheduled outside peak staffing and onboarding periods.
