Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, organized and friendly Administrative Coordinator to support daily operations across all areas of our Centre. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, multitasking and being the go-to person in a dynamic, people focused environment. Your flexibility with hours of work may be required.

Key areas of focus:

Customer Service:

As the friendly and professional representative of our Centre, you will support community members, who reach out to us by walk-in, phone and/or email, by promptly responding to inquiries, providing thorough information, booking and/or facilitating events, supporting initiatives, etc.

Business Development:

As an ambassador for our Centre, increasing awareness of our Centre's offerings to our community is a prime responsibility. Promoting, obtaining, facilitating and maintaining profitable events requires the development of compelling marketing materials for print and electronic distribution through social media platforms, websites, newsletters and bulletins as well as preparation and facilitation of rental agreements.

Administrative Support:

Internal customer service will include, but not be limited to, working closely with the childcare, volunteer and maintenance teams to ensure their administrative needs are met efficiently. This can include, but not be limited to, the management of supplies, documents, communications, etc.

You have the proven ability to work independently in a productive manner and as a valued team member while supporting the goals of this role and the Centre.

What skills and background will support your success?



In addition to the above needs, you have demonstrated the following skills while contributing to an office environment in an administrative role for a minimum of 2 years:

Proven ability to interact in a professional, supportive and friendly manner when responding to inquiries from internal and external contacts.

Promptness, accuracy and thoroughness with follow-up and responses.

Effective and efficient planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail, in a multi-tasking function

Ability to identify priorities with a flexible approach while using strong independent decision-making skills

Effective listening and persuasion skills used when meeting the needs of the Centre, our clients and team

Strong English oral and written communication skills

Technically comfortable and proficient with MS Office, Email, social media platforms and computer applications that support the needs of this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Work Location: In person
