We have an opportunity for an Administrative Coordinator to join and support our Review Division and Issue Resolution Office. Reporting to the Chief Review Officer, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for performing diverse secretarial and administrative support duties that require accuracy and attention to detail.

Where you\xe2\x80\x99ll work

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work from your B.C. home and at a minimum of twice per week in our Richmond office.

What you\'ll do

  • Manage the Chief Review Officer\xe2\x80\x99s day-to-day business, including monitoring, preparing, and maintaining the Chief Review Officer\xe2\x80\x99s schedule and delegation appointments under the Workers Compensation Act, arranging meetings, updating and maintaining Review Division web materials, and liaising with other departments on Review Division and Issue Resolution Office work as required
  • Review, format and publish all decisions under the authority of the Chief Review Officer, and coordinate publishing of completed Review Division decisions on our website
  • Coordinate all divisional meetings and all oral hearings for Review Officers
  • Support the Review Division\xe2\x80\x99s Quality Assurance team on organizing Review Officer training and assisting in the preparation and dissemination of training materials
  • Update and publish the Review Division\xe2\x80\x99s Practices and Procedures Manual as required
  • Co-ordinate the set up of the Summer Intern program, running from May to September each year, working with the Quality Assurance director and Intern manager
  • Receive and distribute correspondence and prioritize items to meet deadlines, ensure security of confidential items, and prepare written responses when appropriate
  • Organize, prepare, and distribute material for divisional or stakeholder meetings, act as recording secretary when required, review minutes and ensure quality control of the format
  • Other administrative duties including preparing complex and confidential reports, preparing and distributing the quarterly divisional newsletter, as well as coordinating office supplies and I&T and procurement orders
  • Represent the Review Division and Issue Resolution Office team in a professional manner when communicating with stakeholders, committees, and government agencies

Your background and experience
  • Completion of grade 12 and post-secondary education is an asset
  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative experience supporting senior management and/or Director level operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint
  • Experience working in WorkSafeBC systems is an asset

Salary: $62,019 - $75,353/annually
