Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, this position supports the department, ensuring seamless coordination of schedules, communications, and strategic initiatives. This role demands a high level of confidentiality, discretion, efficiency, and a proactive mindset to support decision-making and daily operations.


Provide strategic and professional administrative support to the Vice President and the department, ensuring seamless operations at the senior leadership level. Manage complex calendars, coordinate high-level meetings, and monitor critical deliverables to drive timely execution of priorities. Prepare executive-ready reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal stakeholders and external partners. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and proactively identify and escalate urgent issues requiring executive attention.


Qualifications



Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or other related field; an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Specific to the HR department: Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) certification is an asset. Minimum 8 years of experience supporting senior/executive leaders in a large organization. Experience in corporate, government, or nonprofit sector. Knowledge of First Nations culture and ability to lead in a manner consistent with First Nations values. Superior skills in Microsoft Office including Sharepoint. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The ability to plan independently and proactively engage across large teams. The ability to manage workflow, priorities, work well under pressure and be flexible. Self-motivated and exceptional attention to detail with a desire to provide excellent customer service.
