The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to be a central hub for operations. In this role, you'll manage the day-to-day rhythm of the office while taking on more complex coordination tasks, including supporting grant programs, board documentation, and event logistics across Manitoba. As the Administrative Coordinator, you will:

  • Manage daily administrative operations, including calendars, meetings, travel, correspondence, banking, and payments.
  • Support grant programs: track applications, gather information, prepare documentation, and assist with review committees and board meetings.
  • Coordinate workshops and events: book venues and travel, manage logistics and payments, and maintain schedules and checklists.
  • Prepare governance materials: agendas, minutes, reports, and follow-up correspondence.
  • Maintain databases and project trackers; ensure accurate reporting and records management.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners, including applicants, event participants, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and organization.
  • Provide on-site support for events, including occasional early morning or evening commitments (with time in lieu).
  • Occasional travel within Manitoba is required (expenses covered).
You and Your Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of progressive administrative or coordination experience.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with databases or tracking tools.
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive information.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
  • Asset: experience in non-profit, public sector, or grant-funded programs; board or committee coordination; website content updates and working with AI.
