Job Summary

The OSM Ramp Clerk is responsible for various tasks associated with the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and intermodal operational activities.

Major Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Provide transactional service requirements to Operations

\xc2\xb7 Validate and perform ramping for Ports and Terminals

\xc2\xb7 Resolve and answer complex waybill and EDI problems or inquires from various parties

\xc2\xb7 Formulate office procedures

Working Conditions

\xc2\xb7 Standard working conditions in an office environment with a 24/7 work shift

\xc2\xb7 Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress

Requirements

\xc2\xb7 Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English and French)

\xc2\xb7 Qualified OSM Ramper*

\xc2\xb7 Training in Service Reliability Strategies (SRS) and procedures*

\xc2\xb7 Certified under \xe2\x80\x9cTransportation of Dangerous Goods regulation\xe2\x80\x9d (Level 2 - TO4202)*

\xc2\xb7 Completed the self-instruction module on the handling of dangerous goods*

\xc2\xb7 Make informed and timely decisions

\xc2\xb7 Display a customer-centric attitude

\xc2\xb7 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), AGS and SAP

\xc2\xb7 Must be proficient in typing, operate a computer terminal, and common office equipment

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of transportation of dangerous goods regulations (TDG), dimensional loads regulations, applicable rules, tariffs and contracts of both carload and Intermodal shipments, including protection of all aspects of shipment movement information, Canada and USA Customs reporting, and revenue protection requirements*

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Waybill system including Data Warehouse, email, OASIS, and SRS*

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of the Electronic Commerce industry standards

\xc2\xb7 Work without constant and direct supervision

\xc2\xb7 Navigate efficiently through EDI viewer

*The above requirements will be considered assets

Training

The incumbent receives 2 months on-the-job training without formal classroom training.

This position is a unionized position. As such, pay and benefits are governed by the applicable collective agreement.
