Job Description


The Administrative and bookkeeping assistant will be responsible for providing support to other team members and managing the needs of our customer focused organization. The right candidate will be highly skilled in administrative tasks as well as experienced in bookkeeping entries such as accounts receivable and payable. The successful candidate must also be experienced in customer service tasks such as greeting customers and answering the phone.Administration Tasks

  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • Greet customers
  • Schedule and confirm service department appointments
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronically
  • Provide general information to clients and the public
  • File material in storage area
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
  • Provide value-add to the business by pro-active problem solving and timely communication
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested
Bookkeeping Tasks
  • General bookkeeping duties including payables and receivables.
  • Prepare working papers to support reporting requirements in keeping with the reporting schedule
  • Assist the Controller with the daily accounting processes and month-end close to ensure timely and accurate financial statements
  • Post customer payments by recording all payment transactions
  • Record, analyze and evaluate financial transaction data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain proper and complete filing system to support financial records
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications Required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience and /or training or equivalent combination of both
  • Good working knowledge of accounting basics including general ledger accounting
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Office, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Proven ability to multitask customer service with administration tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
Experience:
  • Administrative: 1 year (preferred)
  • Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
  • Driving Licence (required)
Work Location: One location Expected start date: 2023-01-30
