Reporting to the Commander of Community Programs, the Administrative Assistant I is critical to the effective functioning of the RCVTAC team that is a 24/7 operation.
This position requires excellent clerical and administrative skills, an ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and strong interpersonal skills to work with members of the public.
This is a casual opportunity offering 1 day a week to start at the assessment centers. The hours will gradually increase to include evenings and weekends while remaining a casual employee.
This is a contract until March 31, 2026 with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
Manage inbound customer service calls in a professional and timely manner.
Greet and welcome customers and assist with inquiries.
Efficiently respond to patient questions and requests for information.
Schedule patient appointments in an Electronic Medical Record.
Create new patient charts in an Electronic Medical Record.
Data Entry in an Electronic Medical Record.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education and/or relevant education and experience in a related field such as business administration.
Detailed knowledge in computer applications: MS Office, email, Internet Research and medical software.
Prior experience in a healthcare setting and medical receptionist would be considered an asset.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Capacity to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
Flexibility to work days and evenings and weekends.
