STOP! We are seeking a dynamic administrative assistant to support our Ottawa and Halifax offices. Reporting to these offices\xe2\x80\x99 Business Managers, you will provide the organizational support to ensure the smooth running of the two locations and the company. Hanscomb is a nationwide firm of Quantity Surveyors and Cost Consultants. As Trusted Construction Cost Advisors, the strength we add to projects comes from our experience, expertise and dedication of our people to provide clients with defensible cost data and strategies for moving their projects forward. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do: Located in the Ottawa or Halifax area, your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • performing administrative tasks such as managing incoming calls;
  • assist with assembling data and reports;
  • support invoicing and accounts receivable collections;
  • maintaining a filing system to ensure office data can be retrieved easily; and,
  • drafting responses to requests for quotations and other correspondence.
About you:
  • A Diploma in business administration or other experience deemed equivalent.
  • Strong technical writing skills, including editing, grammar, style, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
  • A multi-tasker, flexible and open to changing priorities, able to provide deliverables within compressed time frames while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proactive and willing to take the initiative with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-versed with Microsoft Office and an understanding of Business Central would be considered an asset.
  • Experienced in the construction industry or professional services firms is considered an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and capable of \xe2\x80\x98figuring out the task\xe2\x80\x99.
  • Professional demeanor and team player is essential.
