Marel (an affiliate of the Muzzo Group of Companies) is a family owned and operated business, that specializes in metal stud, insulation, drywall, acoustics and textured finishes. We service all sectors of the construction industry including residential (Low-Rise & High-Rise), commercial, institutional and industrial throughout the GTA, Ontario and across Canada for over 70 years. We currently have an opening for a hardworking, multi-tasking individual with a positive and professional attitude in our Ottawa Division to join our team as a full-time, Administrative Assistant in our Estimating department. Responsibilities:
Ensures on-time and accurate order processing of Purchase Orders
Processes the billing of site Work Orders
Obtains copies of WSIB certificates for billings, start of new jobs and expired certificates
Responsible for invoicing Extras to clients for low rise residential
Welcomes on-site visitors, fields incoming calls, inquiries and directs callers as appropriate for the Estimating department
Assists with various administrative tasks such as but not limited to, updating the commercial calendar for tender closings, creating meeting summaries and scanning and copying of various documents
Provides reception relief as necessary
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications:
2-3 years of proven working experience in similar roles, preferably in a construction environment
College Diploma/Post graduate education in Administrative Studies or an equivalent combination of education/experience is preferred
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
High level of accuracy, detail and excellent customer service skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
Ability to organize, prioritize and work under pressure
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and strong aptitude for learning computer programs
