What will you do as an Administrative Assistant?
The Administrative Assistant, working in a fun, relaxed accounting department, will provide high-quality administrative assistance to the Accounting Manager of Market Tire (1976) Ltd.
As an Administrative Assistant you will provide general administrative support
Answering and directing phone calls
Serving inter-location first point of contact with head office
Greeting and directing visitors
Receiving and distributing mail
Stuffing and mailing envelopes
Photocopying
Entering data (spreadsheets, Costar etc.)
Filing paperwork
Ordering office supplies
As an Administrative Assistant you will provide general accounting support
Running standardized reports from AIS
Posting journal entries and reconciling accounts
Balancing accounts in AIS and Excel
Reconciling employee expense reports
Calculating and preparing cheques
Receiving payments (e.g., EFTs) on account
Completing online reports (GST / PST etc.)
What are the working conditions?
Full-time hourly position - 35 to 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Dedicated workspace open to the public on second floor (stairwell access)
Professional and fun work environment dedicated to health & safety
Street parking (unmetered)
How will Market Tire help you develop your skills?
One-on-one training is various accounting tasks & functions
In-house training in Costar (AIS)
What is Market Tire looking for in a candidate like you?
Completion of Grade 12 or GED required
Combination of post-secondary office administrative or accounting education and experience is beneficial
Open friendly disposition with a demonstrated ability to work well and collaborate with others
Solid numeracy skills
Excellent time management
Strong attention to detail
Discreet and respectful of confidentiality
Proficient in MS Office (i.e., MS Excel)
Experience with accounting software an asset (e.g., Costar)
English proficiency (minimum of CLB 4) in reading, writing, listening & speaking
Strong commitment to health & safety

Pay: $21.40-$27.80 per hour
